U15B Thunder win provincial softball gold

Also last weekend the U19 Thunder group won bronze at provincials.

The Thunder fought the other groups and wildfire smoke that required them to move video games about 125 kilometres from Irma to Castor and play 3 back-to-back seven-inning video games.

Three other Medicine Hat Minor Softball Association groups played their Softball Alberta Provincial Championships previously this month.

The U13 Thunder Black played their method to a strong 3-1 record at the D champion in Grande Prairie July 7-9. Several other groups had the exact same record and the Medicine Hat team lost out on the national championship by 3 runs in the runs for and versus tiebreaker.

On the July vacation, a set of U11 groups played in provincials in Calgary.

The Thunder Black group went 3-1 in the round-robin prior to losing in the bronze medal video game.

The Thunder Red group went 1-3, stopping working to make the playoff round
