OTTAWA — The Canadian Armed Forces says it prepares to pull the Chinook helicopter that crashed into the Ottawa River last month out of the water beginning today.

Four Royal Canadian Air Force members were performing a typical nighttime training workout around midnight near the Petawawa military base upon June 20 when the helicopter crashed into the water, eliminating 2 of the members on board and hurting 2 others.

The bodies of the 2 pilots were recuperated the next day after a comprehensive search, and the helicopter was later on discovered at the bottom of the river.

The military strategies to raise the helicopter to the surface area utilizing a crane and tow it to coast, and says individuals who reside in the location will see increased marine and coast activity in the coming days.
