A batch of puppies destined for the unlicensed commerce have been seized throughout a raid in Ayrshire by Police Scotland and the Scottish SPCA.
The puppies have been rescued from the Stewarton space on Tuesday. Many of the puppies had “well being issues” and can now obtain veterinary care at one of many SSPCA’s animal rescue and rehoming centres.
A spokesperson from Scottish SPCA stated: “The Scottish SPCA and Police Scotland carried out a raid yesterday morning, Tuesday, March 26, the place a lot of puppies have been seized as a part of an unlicensed, low welfare puppy commerce. The puppies are actually secure and receiving veterinary care at one of many charity’s animal rescue and rehoming centres.”
Police stated the enquiries are ongoing at this stage.
