Five years in the past, WWF started honoring young folks within the United States who’ve made excellent contributions to conservation with our Conservation Leadership Award. These exceptional people made strides in defending biodiversity, mitigating and adapting to the local weather disaster, preventing for environmental justice, and stopping meals loss and waste, amongst different essential points. Winners obtain $5,000 to additional their educational or skilled growth associated to conservation.
Our most recent winner, Charitie Ropati, a Yup’ik and Samoan Indigenous scientist, scholar, local weather activist, and advocate for training equality, facilities the voices of Indigenous folks and youth in her work.
