One-year-old Alfred arrived with a number of fractures to his femur and pelvis.
His proprietor was contacted however sadly wasn’t in a position to present him with the care he wanted, so Ms Barros took the cat in herself, funding his therapy throughout a number of bank cards.
The vet nurse stated it ‘seemed a massive shame’ to place him to sleep at such a young age.
However, following main surgical procedure, the vet payments have stacked as much as greater than £6,000 – and Alfred isn’t insured.
Meanwhile, the moggy, who loves cuddles and treats, is studying to walk once more and has even began to play.
Ms Barros stated: “Alfred has been home three weeks now and his recovery has been amazing.
“He’s so brave and rarely complains about taking medications or any of his treatments.
“As Alfred is not insured, all of his treatment will have to be paid for by me and this is why I’m reaching out to ask if anyone is able to help contribute towards [his] care.
“Any contribution no matter how small will be massively appreciated by Alfred and me.”
