The Franklin County Dog Shelter posted an pressing name for blankets Tuesday morning, after a washer broke.
“One of our industrial washing machines stopped working and with just one washer at the moment operable, sustaining an availability of fresh bedding for almost 300 dogs has turn into a problem,” the shelter posted on Instagram.
The shelter requested for donations of fresh “kennel-safe bedding, non-stuffed blankets, extra-large towels and elevated Kuranda beds” (brief mesh or material platforms for dogs to relaxation in).
Material might be dropped off 24 hours a day on the shelter, 4340 Tamarack Blvd., off Morse Road on the Northeast Side.
