CHICAGO — The Southwest Side’s very first dog park will commemorate its grand opening Saturday, June 10 in Garfield Ridge. Ald. Marty Quinn (13th) and Rep. Angie Guerrero-Cuellar (22nd District), together with Chicago Park District and neighborhood agents will cut the ribbon at 9:30 a.m. at Wentwoof Park, inside Wentworth Park5600 S. Narragansett, Chicago.
The 6,050-square-foot dog park offers Southwest Side citizens a gated space where their dogs can run, play and smell easily and securely off leash. Wentwoof Park boasts a water function and covered asphalt. Under factor to consider for the future is an obedience training location and different locations for huge and little dogs.
