SHELTON — A hairless cat called Princess was reunited with its owner Saturday, almost 4 months after the animal was taken from a downtown hotel room and offered to an unwary Massachusetts female, cops said.

Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said officers recuperated Princess after the Massachusettss female found out the cat she bought in Bridgeport numerous months back might have been taken throughout a theft on Jan. 22 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Old Stratford Road.

“We appreciate the integrity of the female who purchased the cat for $1,300 and notified police once she learned the cat was stolen so the animal could go back to the rightful owner,” Kozlowsky said in a declaration.

Princess was amongst numerous products drawn from the hotel room, consisting of a set of designer bags from Gucci and Fendi. Police have said the property deserved about $8,500.

Police later on jailed 2 individuals in connection with the theft — Zyair Lopez, 20, and Toni Douglas-Alves, 24. The 2 were charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to devote third-degree robbery and conspiracy to devote third-degree larceny.

It is not yet clear how the thought burglars handled to offer Princess. Police said investigators are still examining the sale of the taken cat.
