Purifying a greatly pregnant cat – this procedure requires a lot more care than making sterile a non-pregnant cat. Pregnancy duration is around 9 weeks. This cat is approximated to be 7 weeks pregnant.

The spay procedure (standard procedure) is revealed. The surgical treatment is carried out by Dr Daniel Sing of Toa Payoh Vets. No extreme bleeding on the operating field ought to exist when the procedure is carried out effectively as is seen in this viideo. The capillary have actually been ligated well.

The cat goes house on the very same day and is okay as at 2 week post-surgery.

The video is recorded and modified by Intern Clara Chua as part of her hands-on knowing experiences. Principle and assessment are from me, Dr Sing Kong Yuen.

In reply to YouTube’s inquiry on the industrial rights of the video modifying software application, the software application utilized for video modifying is Corel VideoStudio Pro X6 Ultimate, I (Dr Sing Kong Yuen) acquired the initial CD from a retail shop in Funan Centre, Singapore for Intern Clara to utilize in her laptop computer, around mid-Dec 2013. I had actually not downloaded totally free trial variations and the software application utilized is initial. In the previous 2 years, the Interns utilized the totally free Windows Film Maker for the earlier videos however it has less functions therefore I chose to purchase the initial industrial Corel software application.

  1. I adopted a stray kitten and she got pregnant at 4mos. Our local vet does not spay/neuter kittens until they reach 6mos. Now she's 6mos and I can see signs of miscarriage. Thankfully tomorrow she will get checked and spayed.

  2. The best video I've ever seen! All these dumb fuck doogooders, bitching and complaining, and yet not one is a responsible advocate for tnr. Fuck you people. Should show them pulling them out at full term!

  3. I get it that overpopulation and/or the Mama being sick sometimes makes early pregnancy spays necessary. But to wait THIS LONG and then SHOW the four kittens you killed while adding commentary in a cutesy sing song voice? That's cruel and unnecessary.

  4. Could've been avoided.
But judging by her tail and fur I think it was a stray.
Poor thing, if the owners were willing to pay extra for this hopefully they're also giving her a good life now.

  5. Not sure of other countries, but kittens in my country need their vaccinations early, especially for cat flu.

Early abortions can be carried out with drugs, but this vet's surgical abortion with spay was very good—and permanent.

  6. this was outstanding and perfectly done. domestic cats are an invasive species in nearly every country they cause untold damage to the natural fauna. I loved seeing those dead devils at the end of this video. It was amazing that a hero snatched them before they could cause problems! only way this video would have been better would have been if the mother cat was simply euthanized along with the varmints inside her! MAGA!

  7. Today I brought my cat to spayed, I knew she was pregnant. However, at the counter, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Sure I am not in a place to have kittens but I will inconvenience myself to save their lives (my fault for not spaying her earlier). I turned around last minute and decided to not go through with. After watching this video I know I made the right choice. I hope to find them really good homes!!

  8. Although heartbreaking please understand that this could have been done due to health issues or simply the fact that the owner wouldn’t have the resources to provide a proper environment for the kittens there is a YouTube channel that goes into more depth as to why this is important and can save the lives of other cats by providing more spaces in shelters it hurts me to watch this as much as the next person but the doctors and owner should not be chastised for their decision they obviously had a reason to do this. Thank you for the educational video on how the procedures done and I hope the cat is doing well.

  9. I understand that more people need to stay their cats but I could tell right away that those kitten could have been born in one or two weeks any sencable vet would have waited to stay the cat intill it had given birth

  10. Everyone who cares ..should organize or join a volunteer organization. That works together, fund raises, creates fliers with information & phone numbers. Have volunteers that will pick up feral or domesticated cats to have them spayed and neutered and then return to where found whenever possible

  11. Unless there is something severely wrong with kittens or mother, this is cruel. We have taken in many many very pregnant feral female cats in over the years. We let mom nurse and at 4wks spay mom and place the kittens. This isn’t necessary.

  12. I am a total animal lover….I have 4 cats and I am taking my 4 month old to get spauednkn 2 weeks. Over population is a huge problem for cats but this cat was almost due. She should have had her kittens and then they should have been given homes. She didn't understand why her kittens were no longer in her belly….I can understand this if she would have died during birth or if she was seriously sick, but they said nothing about any health concerns in the video!

  13. Poor cat is gonna be traumatize waking up not feeling her kitty's I'm against tht you should wait until she had her kittens or earlier like when she was a week or2 but not tht late

  14. Notice how all the hate is coming from illiterate people. If you all care so much about this then watch kittenladys video about spaying pregnant cats and the ethics behind it, educate yourself. Sucks but the only way we can avoid this is if people stop treating pets like they're lesser and breeding them to sell them off like livestock. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS. Who cares if your poor dog will have no huevos and won't be macho. It prevents needless deaths in shelters and on the streets because people can't take care of their animals properly. Thank you for this educational video.
