WEST SANCTUARY– A college Halloween celebration might have added to a blaze that damaged the leading flooring of a Gilbert Street house early Tuesday early morning, the fire chief stated.
A single person, an university student, was required to the healthcare facility for treatment of smoke inhalation, West Sanctuary Fire Chief Michael Terenzio stated. No other injuries were reported, Terenzio stated.
The fire broke out on the leading flooring of a two-and-a-half-story house in the 80 block of Gilbert Street early Tuesday early morning. Quickly after 6 a.m., 911 dispatchers got a call reporting a structure fire at the address, according to Terenzio. Fire teams reacting to the scene discovered the whole leading story, an apartment or condo inhabited by 3 university student, swallowed up in flames starting to infect the roofing, Terenzio stated.
Terenzio stated 12 individuals in the house at the time of the fire, 8 occupants and 4 others, handled to get away by themselves. 2 animals left within, a bunny and a hamster, were saved by firemens, according to Terenzio.
Looks like the witches and ghouls had a little too much fun at the College Halloween celebration! Hope they have fire insurance.
I find it hard to believe that a Halloween celebration could have caused such a devastating fire. The authorities need to conduct a thorough investigation and not jump to conclusions.
I’m not surprised. Halloween is just an excuse for people to get drunk and destructive. I wish they would just cancel it altogether.
Oh, so now they’re blaming Halloween for everything? I’m sure the ghosts and goblins were just trying to have a good time.
This is outrageous! How could the college be so irresponsible as to allow such a dangerous event? They should be held accountable for the destruction of the West Sanctuary.
It’s important to note that the investigation is still ongoing and no official conclusions have been reached. We should avoid speculation and wait for the authorities to provide more information.
The post suggests a possible link between the College Halloween celebration and the West Sanctuary fire, but it lacks concrete evidence to establish a causal relationship. More investigation is needed to determine the actual cause of the fire.
This fire is a wake-up call for us to take fire safety more seriously. We need to educate ourselves and our families about the dangers of open flames and fireworks.
This is a serious matter that requires a thorough investigation. The safety of our community must be a top priority.
Looks like the only thing that was burning at the College Halloween celebration was the witches’ broomsticks.
