Vet specialist Iffy Glendinning has actually seen some weird items in animals’ stomachs – like the set of diamond earrings that discovered their method inside an emu.

But even she was shocked today when an animal green tree python called Gloria was brought into the center at the University of Queensland’s Gatton school after swallowing a puppy pee pad with the rat it had for lunch.

She explained to ABC Southern Queensland’s David Iliffe that snakes’ unwillingness to chew and savour their food suggested the rat and pee pad it was served on decreased in one huge gulp.
