PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.— Deputies apprehended a South Florida dog groomer after they stated he was seen in numerous videos abusing pets in his care.

Plinio Roberto de Camargo Jr., 47, who owns American Dog Animal Grooming, situated west of Boca Raton, was collared Friday and charged with 2 counts of animal ruthlessness.

According to an arrest report, a male called Palm Beach County’s animal control department to report that his other half, a groomer at the beauty salon, was “ravaged” about experiencing abuse at the center and sent out the videos to an animal control officer.

The male, who reported the case to authorities on behalf of his other half, due to the fact that she just speaks Portuguese, reported that the abuse triggered some groomers to resign.

Deputies composed that in the very first video, de Camargo, while blow-drying a black poodle in the sink, was seen “powerfully manhandling the dog, getting the dog by the back of the head, pulling the dog’s hair and pressing the dog down into the sink.”

The 2nd video reveals de Camargo punching another dog with a closed fist and after that striking the dog with his right-hand man, the report states.

” The dog yelps and sobs and seems in discomfort from the male striking it,” deputies composed.

In the 3rd video, de Camargo is seen blow-drying a little white dog in the sink, “getting the dog by the back of the head and twisting the dog’s hair while raising it up,” according to the report.

The report mentions that in the 4th video, de Camargo “choices (a) dog up by the hair on the back of its head and the hair on the dog’s body to bring it over to the sink. The dog yelps when (he) selects it up by the hair.”

In the 5th, he holds “a little tan dog by the hair on the back of its head while he was trying to groom the dog on a grooming table,” deputies composed.

The groomer, whose other half equated for her, informed deputies Thursday that de Camargo “abuses pets every day by striking them with his hand, a brush, a nail file, clipper, or other grooming products.”

She saw de Camargo “twist a dog’s paws and limbs and pull on a dog’s hair while striking it,” the report states.

“( She) stated the pets Plinio grooms shiver in worry and typically cry,” deputies composed.

The groomer thought that de Camargo “gets disappointed when pets misbehave and strikes them so they will stop moving,” stating that another groomer would typically take control of when he ended up being upset, at which point the pets would be “great.”

The female informed deputies that it was “apparent” that the pets didn’t like de Camargo, the report states.

On Thursday, the female sent out deputies a video revealing de Camargo smacking a Goldendoodle in the face, at which point, the dog yelped and wept, a deputy composed.

The report mentions that other workers informed deputies that they regularly heard pets in distress.

It’s not the very first time the male reported the abuse to authorities. The report mentions that in Might, the groomer’s other half reported that a dog passed away of a cardiac arrest after suffering abuse from de Camargo, however the case was closed due to inadequate proof.

He informed deputies that when de Camargo abuses a dog, the co-owner of the beauty salon would inform owners their pets were “stressed out and had a challenging time being groomed,” the report states. She would then inform the owner to “watch on their dog and to take it to their vet.”

De Camargo, a Brazilian nationwide, pleaded innocent to the charges.
