Russell Crowe Reveals 16-Month-Old Dog Louis ‘Died in My Arms’ After Being Hit by Truck

Russell Crowe is mourning the dying of his puppy after the canine was fatally hit by a truck precisely two years after the star’s father died.

The Oscar-winning actor, 58, shared the heartbreaking loss on Twitter Thursday.

Posting an up-close picture of the late pup, Crowe wrote, “This is Louis the Papillion. 16 months outdated. Tiny, cheeky, courageous. He gained my coronary heart.”

He continued, “Unfortunately at present, on the second anniversary of my father’s passing, Louis was hit by a truck.”

Opening up about Louis’ last moments, Crowe concluded, “We tried to get him to the vet, however he died in my arms whereas I used to be telling him how a lot we beloved him.”

Animal rights organization PETA expressed condolences and replied, “We are heartbroken for you and so deeply sorry to your loss. Louis will probably be in your coronary heart endlessly. Sending all of our love, consolation, and energy ❤️”

Russell shared the information on Twitter the place he hoped to succeed in all those that beloved his beloved father.

Crowe stayed near his father within the final months of his life, and revealed in April 2020 that they had been isolating collectively within the earlier days of the coronavirus pandemic.
