MAZOMANIE, Wis. (WMTV) – A Sauk City mom said her child was trampled by a dog at day care under somebody else’s guidance in Mazomanie.
Isaiah Ede was launched from the medical facility today after going through surgical treatment that arised from a dog attack.
Ede’s mom Madison Roth said 16-month-old Ede was bitten so severely by the dog Wednesday early morning that he will require more surgical treatments in the future.
”It’s most likely the worst most awful thing I’ve ever seen in my whole life,” Roth said. ”I saw my child’s face simply mangled. His entire face was ripped and he’s shrieking bloody murder.”
Roth was contacted us to his Eldred St. in-home-care center around 6:15 a.m. in the early morning where she went and right away delved into an ambulance with her child.
Ede was hurried to American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison where he had surgical treatment and is now doing fine, however Roth anxious he would not make it through.
”Oh I was frightened,” she said. “There was blood everywhere. He just kept getting really heavy weighted.”
Roth began taking her child in-home-day care at a family friend’s house 6 months back. She said Whitney Hague runs the day care out of her home which she formerly enjoyed her 2 older children with no issues.
”She’s a terrific lady,” Roth said. “She does activities with the kids, but this should have never happened. There should’ve been no dog left alone by him.”
Roth does not understand if Hague’s in-home-care-center is credited through the state of Wisconsin.
Hague would not speak on-camera however offered the following declaration: “My concern is about that baby and his family,” she said.
Roth said Public Health Madison Dane County informed her the dog was euthanized.
PHMDC validated Animal Services reacted to a dog bite in Mazomanie Wednesday early morning at 6:15 a.m.
“The owner of the dog is cooperating and we do know the dog was vaccinated for rabies,” PHMDC Communications Coordinator Morgan Finke said. “An investigation is underway. We are not sharing anything futher about this specific case at this time.”
Roth desires other moms and dads to gain from her experience not to take their kids to a day care with family pets.
”I simply hope individuals acknowledge in fact where their kids are and who they’re around,” she said. “Because anything could happen, especially when it comes to animals. I wouldn’t trust it.”
Roth’s family began a GoFundMe to help spend for medical costs and other expenses due to the fact that she cannot go back to work due to Isaiah’s medical condition.
