HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii Island authorities have actually jailed a 51-year-old man following a “vicious dog attack” in Pahoa that left 2 females hurt over the weekend, authorities said.

It occurred Saturday, prior to 5 p.m., on Bamboo Drive in Ainaloa Estates.

Police said a 32-year-old lady was on her own property when a next-door neighbor’s dog started to assault her. She suffered fractures to both arms, numerous leak injuries and lacerations.

She was required to Hilo Medical Center for treatment and stays in steady condition.

Police said her 52-year-old mom was likewise bitten, perhaps by another dog, on her arm and shoulder while attempting to get the dog far from her child.

A spectator had the ability to secure the dog to a post, where it was gotten by Animal Control.

The dog’s owner — 51-year-old Frederick Kassebeer — turned himself in on Sunday and was charged with “permitting dog to stray” and “negligent failure to control a dangerous dog.”

It’s thought the dog got loose since it was not protected and left out of Kassebeer’s property, which was partly fenced.

He was launched after publishing $2,000 bail.

The occurrence is still under examination.
