Lady Gaga Sued for Reward Money by Woman Charged in Dog Theft – NBC New York

A female charged with assisting to take Lady Gaga‘s dogs is wishing to bring the benefit money that was assured for their return.

Jennifer McBride, among 5 individuals detained in connection with the 2021 armed dognapping of French bulldogs Koji and Gustav, submitted a suit versus the “Bad Romance” vocalist Feb. 24, requiring $500,000, the amount of the benefit money that the star had actually assured anybody who securely returned her dogs, per court files obtained by E! News.

According to the files, McBride called Gaga after the event and delivered the dogs to the Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Community Police Station. McBride declares the vocalist breached the agreement by “declining” to pay her, the suit states.

Per the files, McBride thinks that Gaga’s assure to pay the benefit money of $500,000.00 “no concerns asked” was made “with the intent to defraud and cause members of the general public,” including herself, “to trust it and to act on said pledge by finding and providing” the bulldogs.

McBride is taking legal action against Gaga for $500,000 in offsetting damages, declaring discomfort and suffering, psychological distress and loss of pleasure of life.

E! News connected to Lady Gaga’s associate for remark and did not hear back.

In February 2021, Gaga’s dog walker, Ryan Fischerwas walking the vocalist’s 3 French bulldogs in Los Angeles when authorities state 2 of the animals were taken. Fischer was shot and hurt in the event and the 3rd dog escaped prior to being obtained by authorities.

The following April, 5 individuals were arrested in connection with the incidentconsisting of McBride, who was charged with being a device after the criminal activity. In 2022, she pleaded no contest to one count of getting taken property and was sentenced to 2 years of probation, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Per the outlet, who mentioned court records, McBride’s charge of being a device was dropped as part of a plea offer.

Another among the 5 suspects, James Howard Jackson, pleaded no contest to one count of tried murder for the shooting and was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
