Josh Huayamave, cherished dog walker killed in North Bergen hit-and-run, remembered for generosity and love for animals

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. — A precious dog walker killed in a hit-and-run in North Bergen, New Jersey is being kept in mind for his generosity to the neighborhood.

Josh Huayamave’s friends and family commemorated him Monday night.

“Josh represented kind, empathy and management,” said Richie Morino.

Huayamave’s sad family said he was a good soul with a massive love for animals.

“Eternal, everlasting. He would awaken thinking of those animals. Go to sleep with the animals around him,” another individual said.

Huayamave, 23, turned that love and enthusiasm into a dog walking business.

“He was our dog walker for 3 years,” said Maria Coyle, who has an unique requirements puppy. “He was so good with taking his time and putting him in his wheels.”

Huayamave was living the life up until Friday night, when cops discovered a motorbike depending on the location of Granton and Liberty Avenues. They discovered Huayamave unconscious numerous blocks away.

He was hurried to the healthcare facility, however did not make it through.

“It’s awful. It’s destructive, stunning for the neighborhood,” said Abbey Banegas, another among Huayamave’s clients.

Police said the driver who struck Huayamave is still on the run.
