Girl, 4, dies in dog attack in Milton Keynes | News

A four-year-old girl was mauled to death by a dog in a back garden, Thames Valley police said.

The emergency services were called shortly after 5pm on Tuesday to reports that a dog had attacked a child at a property in the Netherfield area of Milton Keynes. It was confirmed shortly afterwards that the child had died at the scene. The dog has since been “humanely destroyed” and the girl’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Last night officers were speaking to neighbours and said their investigation was still at an early stage. No arrests have been made.
