A U.S. Flying force sergeant is attempting to bring home a roaming dog she bonded with throughout deployment abroad.
Flying Force Sergeant Meet Stray Dog
U.S. Flying Force Sergeant Kay initially fulfilled Diesel, a skittish and malnourished roaming dog, while serving in the Middle East. The canine roamed onto the base where she was stationed, so Sgt. Kay offered the puppy attention – and even began sharing her lunch with him. They quickly ended up being the very best of pals.
However Sgt. Kay was ultimately moved, requiring her and Diesel to bid farewell. Not long after she left the base, other members of the Flying force reported that Diesel “started acting depressed,” according to People.
Now, Sgt. Kay and Paws of War, a not-for-profit that helps with the adoption of roaming animals by U.S. service members, are interacting to bring Diesel back to the United States.
“I can’t think of something I have wished for and prayed for in my life more than this actually happening and Diesel being with me in America,” Sgt. Kay stated in a declaration.
Contributions Required to Bring Dog Home
Paws of War has actually started the procedure of raising funds, and making plans for, the transport of Sgt. Kay’s canine buddy. The not-for-profit hopes fellow dog enthusiasts will contribute to the cause so that Sgt. Kay and Diesel can be reunited.
“We can make this happen for both of them, but we need everyone’s help to chip in as these missions cost lots of money,” Derek Cartwright, a veteran and the organizer for Paws of War, stated. “We owe it to Sergeant Kay to help reunite Diesel with her in America. Their hearts are apart right now, but we can bring them together. We need the support. It’s a team effort to pull off a mission like this.”
