A 1-and-a-half-year-old pit bull mix dog is recuperating after practically bleeding to death.
The dog was found by members of the Michigan Pit Bull Education Program (MPEP) on Sunday while they were out providing basic care to canines. The group stumbled upon the dog who Genesee County Constable Chris Swanson stated will pass away, and informed Genesee County Animal Control.
Animal control then called the constable’s workplace to report the dog, Swanson stated, including the dog was within 24 hr of bleeding to death since his collar was too tight. The collar was cut into the skin of the dog’s neck and triggered deep tissue lacerations.
Darrontae Quantrell Johnson was recognized as the dog’s owner and was jailed for this case. He has actually been charged with first-degree animal abuse and abuse.
The dog was required to a vet and is recuperating, Swanson stated.
There were 4 other canines at your house where this event occurred. Those canines were saved also.
Swanson advises the neighborhood that if you remain in a position where you can not look after your animals, there are individuals out there who will do that for you.
