EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Police state a man is dealing with animal cruelty charges after his dog was left on the ground with mental retardation.
73-year-old Gordon Terry was booked into the Vanderburgh County prison simply after 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police state they were contacted us to the 7000 block of East Walnut Street since Terry kept falling and dropping his dog.
A witness says Terry informed her he was “drunk on some pills.”
She says he approached her car, dropped the dog once again, and left.
Police state his shoes were likewise left in the location.
Animal Control officers state the dog plainly had mental retardation, and the only result was to euthanize it.
Police state they had the ability to locate the owners from the dog’s microchip.
They state Terry’s better half informed officers her spouse had actually been out trying to find their three-year-old Pomeranian mix, called Riley, after he got loose.
Officers state she had the ability to determine the dog as theirs.
They state Terry confessed he intentionally left the dog.
