As the snow tipped over a hectic Michigan highway, a dog called Rudy viewed the traffic from a close-by hill. As he looked at the vehicles zipping by, the abandoned puppy hoped somebody may identify him and bring him someplace warm.
Luckily, a driver in among the vehicles saw Rudy’s ears poking out from the snowbank and understood he required help. The driver rapidly called Michigan Humane and informed them the area of the only dog waiting in the snowstorm.
At initially, Rudy was reluctant to trust his rescuers, however ultimately the shivering puppy recognized they existed to help. He fearlessly permitted them to take him back to their car.

Safe at Michigan Humane, Rudy took in his more recent, cozier environments. Rescuers were delighted to discover that the difficult dog hadn’t sustained any injuries. Though he was skittish in the beginning, Rudy quickly grew to like the friendly staff at the rescue center.
“He was understandably nervous and stressed when he arrived,” Chrisman said. “But [he] warmed up to the team over the first few days.”
In time, rescue staff started to discover bits and pieces of Rudy’s character. They happy in viewing him establish bonds with other dogs and ensured he had the ability to do all his preferred activities.
“He’s a sweetheart,” Chrisman said. “[He] enjoys spending time with people and playing around outside in our play yards. He’s also met other dogs while in our care and liked getting to know them. He loves yummy snacks, like stuffed KONGs and hot dog pieces, and going for walks.”
Michigan Humane staff are presently dealing with an adoption prepare for Rudy. In the meantime, the grateful puppy is settling into his short-lived home, and caring every minute.
