Woods Humane Society will waive its adoption costs for adult cats beginning Saturday, May 27 through Sunday, June 4.
Woods says they already have almost 200 kittens presently in foster care and June generally marks the height of kitten season on the Central Coast. By waiving the cat adoption costs, they intend to maximize space in their catteries.
In addition, Woods says that adult cat adoptions tend to drop as kitten season starts to rise.
The normal charge to adopt a cat at Woods varies from $65 to $80. During the fee-waived cat adoption promo, all cats 5 months of age or older will be totally free. All adult cats have actually been purified or neutered, immunized, microchipped, and dealt with for parasites.
Woods Humane Society lies at 875 Oklahoma Ave. in San Luis Obispo and at 2300 Ramona Rd. in Atascadero. Both places are open daily from midday to 5 p.m.
