On Feb. 28, firemens with the South County Fire Department in Snohomish County managed a purr-fect rescue. Concerned next-door neighbors heard meowing originating from under a car’s hood and called for help.
Captain Crawford and firemens Olney and Davis quickly showed up and found a cat caught in the engine compartment of a parked car. They effectively drawn out the gritty cat and protected among its lives. The cat was required to a veterinarian to get tidied up and looked for a microchip.
Hats off to our regional heroes! And excellent work by the next-door neighbors for taking note. Pets and wild animals are well-known for wiggling their method into car engines throughout these chillier months.
