RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Natural Paws Reno is hosting another Hike for Hounds fundraising event Sunday, June 4 at Galena Park in Reno. The money raised throughout this year’s occasion will go to the Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary (CRCCS) in Washoe Valley.
Lori Dotterweich, the CEO and co-owner of Natural Paws, and Kristen Ivey, the creator and executive director for CRCCS, came by Morning Break to share the information of this fundraising occasion.
There will be an optional 2 mile trek beginning at Galena Park (18250 Mt Rose Hwy – Bitterbrush Trail) at midday. The celebration is on Bitterbrush Trail at Eagle Meadow. Balloons will mark your course!
The cost is a $30 contribution that includes a complimentary tee shirt, present bag and ice cream. You can sign up at the occasion at any time in between 10 a.m. -12 p.m. If you have big family, just one entry charge is needed unless you would like more tee shirts.
Starting at 12 p.m., you and your family will have the ability to trek the Sierra with your dog! This isn’t your normal dog walk as it’s in the mountains on the tracks surrounded by gorgeous pines and vistas. Dogs are obviously welcome however not needed. However, if you do bring a dog, he/she needs to be leashed at all times.
The remainder of the celebration consists of distinct suppliers, food trucks, music by April & Sheldon and a raffle!
