A text about a shooting that accompanied an image of a cat holding a rifle ended with a teenager’s arrest for threatening a Pembroke Pines school.
Pembroke Pines Police said they got numerous contact March 9 about the text that was shared amongst trainees at Charles W. Flanagan High School.
“Flanagans gonna get soar,” the message said, accompanied by a photoshopped picture of a act holding a rifle.
Police started an examination and figured out the message originated from a 16-year-old previous trainee of Flanagan High.
The teen informed investigators that the message was meant to be a joke, however he was later on detained and charged with a felony count of composed dangers to perform a mass shooting.
“Whether composed as a joke or as a trick, all dangers made versus our schools are taken seriously and will be examined by policeman,” cops said in a declaration. “Making dangers of this nature is a major offense and any person who dedicates these acts will be detained and charged appropriately.”
