OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A fire triggered heavy damage to a home Sunday early morning.
According to the Omaha Fire Department, firemens were called out to the location of 34th and Erskine Street at 11:12 a.m. Sunday.
Crews got here, got in the home and discovered the fire in the basement. The fire was brought under control a brief time later on. Investigators state the blaze was brought on by an electrical occasion.
One resident was already outside the home by the time firemens got here, however teams did discover and rescue a cat that was within.
The fire damage was approximated at $27,500 to the structure and another $8,500 to its contents.
