LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A disagreement over a missing out on cat caused the death of a dog and charges being submitted.
62-year-old John Cook was charged with eliminating animals.
Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said deputies were called about gunshots being fired on Honnell Mill Road on Thursday.
Deputies discovered a dog, that was leashed, and had actually been shot and killed.
The conflict began with Cook going to the next-door neighbor’s home to look for his missing out on cat.
