GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Firefighters saving a cat from a tree? Yes, they still do that.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department shared the rescue of “Ghost,” a cat that climbed up up until now up a tree it couldn’t securely discover a method down.
The rescue on the city’s east side happened late Wednesday afternoon. The fire department reacted with a truck and an engine, and a firemen increased in the cherry picker to pluck Ghost from the branches.
“The rescue went purrrrfect,” the fire department composed, and Ghost was reunited with its owner.
Lt. Shauna Walesh says firemens need to think about a variety of aspects when an animal requires saving from a tree, consisting of whether resources are available (for example, if there’s a fire action in another part of the city).
Walesh included it can be hard to securely perform a rescue if there are power lines near the tree. They’ve received help from Wisconsin Public Service on some cat saves.
Firefighters understand family pets are member of the family. They like to see a happy ending, like the rest people.
