Driver areas ‘huge cat’ while waiting at traffic signal in the West Country

A man driving home late in the evening in the Cotswolds says he saw a huge cat which was as high as the lights on his Land Rover Freelander. He identified the animal for a short lived minute while he was stopped at traffic signal.

Steve Woodman, from Chipping Campden, was on his method back from work at around 1am on Monday (May 15) when he saw the huge black cat. The 45-year-old, who was when a sceptic, says now he understands huge cats are out there since he has actually seen one for himself, reports Gloucestershire Live.



Steve, who works as a night supervisor at a wedding event place, said: “I was driving home after work down Westington Hill at around 1am.

“I stopped at the momentary traffic signal which existed then, and wanting them to rush and turn green. Then from the left nearside I saw something and understood it was a huge black cat.

“I did not believe for a minute it might be anything else. It certainly was not a deer, or a dog or a domestic cat, it was a huge black cat.

“It was as high as the headlights on my Land Rover Freelander and it was likewise rather muscular. Then it ran behind the car, straight throughout the roadway and was gone.

“The lights turned red and I was in two minds whether to turn around and go look for it. I decided going home to bed instead was a much better option anyway.”

Steve says he does seldom publish on Facebook. However he chose to ask others who live in the location if they have actually stumbled upon any huge cats.

He said: “When I initially saw it, I resembled ‘oh my gosh, what is that’. However when you see a fox, you understand it is a fox, when you see a dog, you understand it is a cat.

“I was sceptical about huge cat being out there in the Gloucestershire countryside, today I have actually seen one, I understand one is out there. I had actually likewise seen a post on Facebook a bit earlier from somebody stating they had actually seen a huge cat in the location.
