Doja Cat has actually been called out after obviously calling her fans ‘dumb’.
One of the albums in concern was 2019’s Hot Pink which was accountable for such hits as ‘Streets’, ‘Juicy’ and ‘Like That’.
This was followed up a number of years later on by Planet Her, which included Grammy-winning hit ‘Kiss Me More’, along with summertime tune ‘Need to Know’.
But in spite of their success, Doja Cat – genuine name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – does not appear to hold them in any high regard.
Earlier today, the vocalist tweeted: “Planet Her and Hot Pink were cash-grabs, and y’all fell for it.
“Now, I can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while y’all weep for mediocre pop.”
Unsurprisingly, her words didn’t go down too well with some.
“I’m sorry but when artists do this it’s so annoying like I really don’t care,” wrote one.
“Then their ‘passion project’ sounds like ass and they act like it didn’t exist a year after it underperforms like cmon lol.”
And now she appears to have actually doubled down in her disposing on her fans.
In reaction to her preliminary tweet, one user said: “Everyone seethes due to the fact that you are calling your fans dumb.”
Replying to the post, Doja asked: “…. are they not?”
Commenting on the post, one fan knocked: “Your behaviour is refraining from doing what you believe it’s doing.”
Another said: “You going through something mysterious. Let me silence you for my peace of mind. Cause I’ll constantly be a fan and I don’t wanna dislike you.”
“Someone you appreciate insult your music now you’re humiliated?” asked a 3rd.
“And so now it’s the fans that are insufficient? I feel a lot previously owned shame for you. Rich or not, this is rude.”
While another included: “Oooooh u make me so mad.”
Now, it so occurs that all this ‘debate’ has actually come ahead of the release of her brand-new album.
Revealing its title on Twitter previously today, Doja composed: “Its not called hEllMoUth either its called ‘First of All’ and yes I’m revealing the album title today.”
According to reports, her 4th album will move far from the bubblegum pop noise she’s so proficient at and head in a hip hop instructions.
