Chase Those Cats – Intro

This first cat-chasing mission unlocks in Chapter 3 and can be found southeast of the Cipal lower city centre. It’s shown marked on the map below. To begin the detour, approach the chat standing next to the group of women washing clothes. Interact with it and it’ll run from Frey, prompting her to chase it down.

When you regain control, follow the cat through the door north of you. If you’re having trouble seeing it, you can follow it closely via the detour marker above its head. Once through the doorway, the cat will take a bizarre detour, running forwards then U-turning widely and proceeding down the path next to the door we just entered the area through.

It’ll stop a short way down this path next to a lootable item. Pick it up. You’ll net your first Poppet. Poppets are valuable dolls you can sell to vendors for high prices. Frey will thank the cat (I’m sure it appreciates it) and then the quest will conclude.

Chasing The Black and White Cat: Part 1

The next cat takes place in Chapter 4 and is found just outside the Shady Tree pub. When exiting the establishment, take a left and look behind a nearby wall to find a black and white cat with a quest marker above it. It’s marked on the map below. Interact with the cat and it’ll begin to run away.

Much like the previous cat-related detour, follow the cat closely. It’ll move in a large circle and run towards the door of the Shady Tree pub, making a quick right just by the door and leading you to a small bag.

Pick the bag up to get another Poppet for your collection. Thank you Mr Black and White Cat, you’ve done us a true solid.

Chasing The Black and White Cat: Part 2

This detour is unlocked in Chapter 4 and can be found in the north section of Cipal’s farm, just above the cemetery. Its map location is marked below.

This is only accessible after completing the Chasing the Black and White Cat: Part 1 detour. When you arrive, you’ll find the black and white cat standing near the castle walls.

Interact with it and it’ll run from you once again. Follow it through the cemetery and down the steps on the other side. It’ll then veer off the path and onto some rocks, stopping in front of a small brown bag. Pick it up to net another poppet.

Chasing The Gray Cat: Part 1

This detour is unlocked in Chapter 4 and can be found in the east section of Cipal’s upper city. When walking through the streets just east of the centre, you’ll find a small cat with a quest marker above its head. Its location is marked on the map below.

Interact with the cat and it’ll run from you. You know what to do from here. Follow closely behind the cat and it’ll lead you down the street, out towards the area at the bottom of the lower city and over to some wooden boxes.

Beside the boxes is a small bag. Grab it and you’ll net yourself another poppet.

Chasing The Gray Cat: Part 2

This detour is unlocked in Chapter 13 and is found in the southmost part of the city, west of Finders Keepers, as shown on the map below.

When you arrive, you’ll find a gray cat. Interact with it and it’ll run away. Follow it closely. It’ll round the corner to your left and sprint all the way down to Finders Keepers.

Keep up with it and it’ll eventually stop in front of a bag. Pick up the loot to find yourself another poppet.

Chasing The Striped Cat: Part 1

This detour is unlocked in Chapter 13 and can be found just west of the Harkiska Grove tree, as shown on the map below.

When you arrive, you’ll find another cat waiting for you. Interact with it and it’ll flee. Chase it. It’ll run away from the tree, take a right and then head towards the nearby farmhouse.

It’ll eventually stop next to a bag. Grab the bag to secure another poppet.

Chasing The Striped Cat: Part 2

After chasing the striped cat down in Harkiska Grove during Chapter 13, you’ll locate it again directly to the right of The Tower of Binnoi, as shown on the map below. When you arrive, the cat will be waiting next to some crates. Interact with it and it’ll once again run away.

Follow closely behind as the cat sprints past the entrance to The Tower of Binnoi, makes a little kitty U-turn and then heads down the nearby steps towards Lower Cipal.

It’ll stop at the bottom of the steps and lead you to a small bag. Pick it up to secure another Poppet.

Chasing The Black Cat: Part 1

This detour is unlocked during Chapter 13 and is located at the bottom of the steps leading to Upper Cipal, as shown in the picture below.

When you arrive at the location, you’ll find a small black cat. Interact with it, and it’ll run away. Follow closely behind.

It’ll run east for a few seconds before taking a left into a small courtyard. Continue behind it as it dips through a nearby doorway and stops next to a bag. Pick up the bag to secure a poppet.

Chasing The Black Cat: Part 2

This detour is unlocked after chasing the black cat in Chapter 13 and can be found at the southmost point of the city, just east of Finders Keepers, as shown on the map below.

When you arrive, you’ll find a small black cat. No prizes for guessing what our objective is. Follow that cat!

He’ll run from you, weaving through the streets and up the nearby staircases until he reaches the centre of lower Cipal. Follow him closely until he stops next to some boxes. Grab the bag he’s next to and you’ll find another poppet.
