Personnel gotten here on the scene and identified the cat was caught far down in a pipeline with an exposed end.
St. George Wastewater Treatment Division workers were summoned to the scene and utilized a camera to figure out the cat had to do with 362 feet from the opening of the pipeline.
The cat had actually roamed to where the pipeline linked to a narrower pipeline, and did not have room to reverse, the shelter said.
Plumbing and drain business Roto Rooter was called for help, and directed an excavation business to get rid of the asphalt from around the location where the cat was caught in the pipeline.
An staff member from Moss Excavating was then able to cut a hole in the pipeline and raise the cat to safety.
The feline, called Rooter in honor of the rescue, was provided a tidy expense of health at the Lava Rock Veterinary Hospital prior to being required to the shelter.
The shelter said Roto Rooter sponsored the adoption charges for Rooter and 4 other cats after the rescue.
