Cat passes away in DeLand mobile home fire brought on by arsonist, authorities state

DELAND, Fla. – A cat passed away Sunday in a DeLand mobile home fire that authorities think was deliberately set, according to an occurrence report.

Teams said they reacted to flames around 3:30 p.m. at a single-wide mobile home, situated at 144 Carrol Ave. The report reveals authorities saw smoke and flames originating from the trailer’s windows.

The fire damage was consisted of to the cooking area, nevertheless, the whole structure sustained smoke damage, the department said in a Facebook post.

Firemens said no injuries were reported, however a cat was discovered dead inside the trailer. The fire marshal said nasty play was believed, including that he thought the fire was deliberately set.
