SHREVEPORT, La. — Animal supporters are looking for out who might have killed a cat with a baseball bat in Bossier City.
The cat was discovered with his teeth knocked out, hardly breathing and needed to be euthanized.
A kid discovered the cat at Clifford Almond Community Playfield on Sunday afternoon hardly alive.
Lory Kowaleski got word and called Port City Cat Rescue.
“Blood was on the ground up on the wall his teeth were on the ground,” said Kowaleski. “His jaw was all the method over here and we didn’t do anything other than choice up the cat and head straight to the emergency situation veterinarian from that point on.”
Kowaleski said the ER veterinarian concluded he was suffering and the very best alternative would be to humanely euthanize him. Before he passed away, the cat was called James.
People in the neighborhood and the Humane Society of Louisiana have actually set up a benefit for details that’s now at $4,700.
“It’s crucial for our society to determine who did it get that child in therapy and develop a system of penalty for him or her since if we do not prevent this habits, it will most likely intensify,” said Jeff Dorson, Humane Society of Louisiana executive director.
It’s uncertain if the video cameras outside the Clifford Almond Community Playfield restroom where the cat was discovered were working, and if they captured anything on Sunday in between 3 and 4 p.m.
Bossier City authorities are examining.
