Through the ‘Chic Chic Bird’ task, the style group looked for to place a lively touch into the shopping street of Wuhan, blurring the borders in between inside your home and outdoors. The greatest obstacle for the design team was to deal with the 2 structural aspects that disrupted the horizontality of the shop. Thus, they exceedingly bigger the existing columns and slanted them in various instructions to remove the sense of weight and mark the store’s entryway.
On top of this volume lay 2 platforms that nestle the wood boxes. Serving as canopies, the platforms go through the interior and extend towards the general public street as much as possible. This produces a discussion in between in and out, as the 2 areas are linked under the enormous sculptures. Inside, the designers gathered the seats around a 10-meter-long counter that confines the cooking area. Thus, the cool plan finished with wall-to-wall moving doors opens the space and forms a more large and inviting entryway location.
