Austin cops discover another body at Lady Bird Lake

The Austin Police Department is examining another body discovered at Lady Bird Lake near Longhorn Dam on Saturday, April 15. The body recuperated comes amidst a now-debunked report of a serial killer on the loose in Austin due to the string of deaths near the lake and Rainey Street.

Police reacted to the location near Longhorn Dam around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday after getting several 911 telephone call about an individual who seemed deceased in the lake. After a water rescue, authorities stated the individual dead-on-the scene. In a news conference on Saturday, APD public details officer Michael Bullock said private investigators had actually not found anything suspicious associated to the body discovered.

Bullock said there is no quote for for how long the individual remained in the water. He likewise said they do not understand the gender of the individual.

The body discovered on Saturday is the 6th death in the last couple of months. Many of the deaths, situated near Rainey Street, have actually been ruled as unexpected drownings and the Austin Police Department has said it does not think there is a serial killer at work.
