Cause of fire that takes 3 mobile houses and an animal still under examination

Authorities are examining the reason for a fire that began at a trailer park in Collinsville simply after midnight, triggering damage to 4 trailers and sending out one man to the healthcare facility.

On Ferncreek Drive, 3 of the single-wide mobile houses were entirely ruined and one has small damage to the underside of the building, Henry County Fire Marshall Lisa Garrett said.

One man was carried to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for burns and has actually now been launched, Garrett said. Another man with burns declined treatment and transportation, and one animal was killed in the fire, she said.

The American Red Cross helped 6 other people at the scene with small concerns, she included.

“It in fact went county-wide,” Garrett said of the action. Responding firms were Collinsville Fire Department District, Fieldale Volunteer Fire Company, Bassett Fire Department, Ridgeway Fire Department, Henry County Public Safety, Horsepasture Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Appalachian Power.
