A regional animal charity is appealing for contributions of kitten food in preparation for the approaching kitten season.
Karma Andrews, a trustee of The Scratching Post states after a little vacation break, the volunteers are all set for the upcoming kitten season.
” Now’s the time we equip our stockroom with materials and all we require to be all set for the young orphaned kittycats that’ll come through our doors requiring unique tender love and care to raise them up until they are old adequate to be rehomed.”
She states with just a couple of weeks up until the start of kitten season, the charity is requiring to restock the stockroom with lots of kitten food and cat litter.
” We seek milk formula, jelly meat, biscuits, family pet milk, paper, and cat litter. Our stockroom is looking quite grim at the minute. Any contributions of these items would be a substantial aid and significantly valued.”
She states they can utilize any kind of cat litter, however when it pertains to the food, it requires to be age particular.
” We require age-specific ‘kitten’ food, as adult cat food is too abundant for young stomaches. While a lot of teenaged kitten stomaches can endure the richness of adult cat food, the young orphaned kittycats that come through our doors require all the additional minerals and vitamins they can get to assist increase their body immune systems.”
She states the charity is grateful for the assistance of the neighborhood.
” We appreciate of the neighborhood coming together to assist.”
If individuals choose, they can contribute cash rather, Karma states.
” With the kitten season quick approaching we require all the aid we can get.”
Contributions can be dropped off at the Scratching Post on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am-2pm, other than for Friday, October 28. Cash contributions can be made to: The Scratching Post, TSB 153947 0475088 00.
