BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire Rescue’s Engine 1 A shift responded to a call for animal rescue on a kitten in the Winn Dixie parking lot on Port Malabar Boulevard.

According to officials, the small cat was stuck in the engine compartment of a vehicle, and the driver could not get it out.

“After she was rescued from the car, she was transferred to animal control so they could evaluate and shelter her,” said a Brevard County Fire Rescue spokesperson.
