A fire triggered comprehensive damage Sunday to a home near 33rd and Erskine Streets in North Omaha.
The only resident of the home — at the time of the fire — was outdoors when Omaha firemens got here about 11:10 a.m., a representative for the Omaha Fire Department said. The fire lay in the basement of the single-family residence valued at $37,300.
Firefighters had the ability to rescue a cat from inside your home and return it to its owner, the representative said.
The fire was stated under control at 11:30 a.m. The reason for the fire was figured out to be an electrical breakdown, the representative said.
Damage to the home was approximated to be over $27,000 with an extra $8,500 in loss of contents.
