Mum and child goats Winnie and Wednesday remained in poor condition with severely thick hooves when they initially showed up at The Stubbington Ark RSPCA animal rescue centre.

Kate Luxford, who operates at the centre, said: ‘Winnie and Wednesday came into our care from an unfortunate background.

‘They had been roaming free for around six months with little to no human contact.’

Mum Winnie and her kid Wednesday have given that had the care they required to recuperate and are now all set to discover a home

The set are carefully bonded, so they’re trying to find a home together, preferably with other goats.

‘Winnie is very cautious and can take a while to get used to new people,’ said Kate, ‘however, since coming into The Stubbington Ark, the team have been slowly trying to gain her trust, and she now comes over for her breakfast and dinner.

‘She is a gentle girl who is always keeping an eye on her daughter making sure she is close by.

‘Wednesday is slightly more trusting than her mum however she can still be cautious and shy.

And they’re both very sweet (Picture: RSPCA)

‘Wednesday is always the first to come over in the morning looking for her breakfast and will finish off anything her mum doesn’t consume.

‘Both girls are very sweet and just need a loving forever home that will take the time to gain their trust and be patient with them.’

If you’re interested in offering these 2 cuties a home, you’ll require a Defra CPH holding number, along with a big field with a minimum five-foot post and rail with stock fencing, and a field shelter that both goats can suit.

If you have all this to use them, then you can get more details about embracing them on the RSPCA website.
