The Doris Banham Dog Rescue, which has volunteers in Grantham, gets the money along with the Great Casterton Church Charity, based in Rutland.
This was donated by The Benefact Group, who asked individuals of Lincolnshire to choose charities to get this money as part of The Benefact Group’s Motions for Good Awards, where they handed out ₤ 120,000 in its yearly 12 Days of Christmas project.

On Christmas Eve, the charity took in a Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross called Coco from a Grantham veterinarians.
