Dog rescue organisations collaborate for a huge fundraising event

THE Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue and Rehoming organisation, together with 8 other animal rescue organisations, will be hosting a charity event at The Barnyard, Suncoast, in Durban KZN. Taking put on April 2, the fundraising event will help each rescue organisation with much-needed funds to cover the running of the organisation and the main health care and treatment of the rescue animals.

These animal rescue organisations consist of Animal Antics, Animally Haven, Bluff Rescue Kennels, Four Paws Rescue, Khetani Animal Rescue, Paws a Plenty Rescue and Rehoming, Stray Paws Rescue and Welfare, The Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue and Rehoming and The KZN Doghouse.

Each rescue organisation covers the higher Durban location, helping in the rescue, rehab and rehoming of dogs and cats.
Organiser Karen Janisch said assistance is required as they continue to help the abandoned, mistreated and ignored animals in our neighborhood.

“We encourage companies to get involved by taking part in a team-building outing for their employees. This is also a great time for families and friends to enjoy some quality time together. We are also looking for sponsors to donate prizes towards our raffle which will take place on the day.”

The public is welcomed to take pleasure in the Simply the Best program of live music tributed to Michael Jackson, Elton John, Tina Turner, Cher and Meatloaf. This will be followed by a raffle with remarkable rewards to be won, and the ticket will just cost R10 each. The organisations will likewise have a discussion to show the dogs available for adoption.
